Dear Patients and Community,

hands forming heartAs we are almost 3 months into the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to take an opportunity to update you all on how things are going at the office.  We have not had any confirmed cases come into our office.  Wes and Ellie are doing an exceptional job at the front screening patients that have either been in contact with a positive case, or are experiencing symptoms themselves.  We are re-scheduling those patients at least 2-3 weeks out and asking they keep in touch with us for any updates on positive test results.  No staff, including doctors, have experienced any symptoms of any sort over the last 3 months.

To continue doing our part in making sure we are providing a safe environment for our patients, we are currently taking to following precautions:  (we have been doing most of these since the middle of March)

1)  Doctors have been wearing a mask with patients for the last month while in the adjusting room and exam room.  I am not requiring patients to do so.  This is a personal decision and I leave it up to you to decide if you feel you need to.

2) We are doing our best to triage our patients.  We are keeping times open for existing patients and new patients that need to be checked for acute pain.  We also have times available for supportive care so patients can also be seen to prevent further deterioration of their chronic condition.

3) If patients are experiencing any symptoms of coughing, shortness of breath or fever, OR have been in contact with anybody that has these symptoms, we are requiring them to give us a call to reschedule their appointment for a future date that meets CDC or their physician’s timeline.

4) We are also screening for patients who have traveled to at-risk locations (for example, international travel or travel to New York, New Jersey, Washington state, California, etc). We ask patients to please notify us of such travel so that we may reschedule their appointment.

5) We have moved one of our CA stations to the other side of the reception area so that patients have adequate space to move through the office while keeping 6 feet of distance.

6) We are constantly disinfecting surfaces after patients have been in the adjusting rooms and at the counter, and doctors continue to wash their hands after every patient. We are also using hand sanitizer throughout the day and welcome patients to use it or wash their hands during their visits, as well.

7) We are keeping the front door open during business hours.  The door is one less thing people have to touch during their visit.

8) Patients are welcome to sit in their car and call or text us to let us know that they have arrived.  We will call you and let you know when you can come in and get right on the table.

9) Doctors and staff will continue practicing physical distancing and will not be having any contact with patients outside of what is necessary to deliver an adjustment.

If we can make any accommodations for your visit, please contact us and let us know how we can assist you. I am very confident that the best thing our office can do to help our community during these uncertain times is provide exceptional chiropractic care, and we will continue to do that.

With love and in health,
