Chiropractic Care

Our practice utilizes a number of techniques in order to prevent and reduce interferences in the nervous system. The technique provided to each individual is ultimately based on a highly personalized evaluation using our clinical judgment, our years of experience, and our advanced education.

The primary adjusting techniques we use include:

  • Activator: A system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.
  • Thompson Terminal Point: A system of analysis and a special table that reduces the amount of energy needed to adjust your spine.
  • Diversified: After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up “stuck” spinal joints.
  • Torque release: A manner of enhancing the brain/body connection using gentle touch and light thrusting by hand or an instrument called an integrator.
  • Webster: The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved.

Your Personalized Journey

The technique used in your specific case will be chosen by your provider in order to ensure optimal results. We typically begin care using the lowest force option necessary for that specific patient, and then work our way up as needed. The process of finding the right technique is highly results-based, but patients will be increasingly exposed to higher force options at a pace that they are comfortable with. This is why we begin most of our patients with instrument adjusting and only continue on if the body’s response is not what we are looking for.

Nothing to Fear

Our office is dedicated to your safety, and our doctors consider everything we do here to be very safe. We follow thorough x-ray and exam protocols in order to take a cautious, tailored approach to each individual.

Since we do begin with low force, instrument based adjustments, torqueing and twisting of the spine should not be expected unless fully explained by your Doctor and agreed upon.
