Meet Dr. Christopher Gehrke

From a young age I knew I always wanted to be in the healthcare field. I have always had a passion for helping people and working with them to reach their goals. After receiving my undergraduate degree I took a position at Duke University with the plan to attend their Physician Assistant program after working for a few years. While at Duke University, I was able to shadow other healthcare professionals as they performed their rounds at the hospital. While shadowing I noticed that all the patients they saw were sick.

I began to realize that more of the focus was on treating an already sick person than ways to prevent that sickness and promote health. At that point I hit a barrier in what I wanted my career to look like. I was fortunate enough to be led towards chiropractic by shadowing a chiropractor who shared the philosophy of being pro-active rather than reactive. To study what kept people healthy and free of disease was what drew me to the chiropractic profession and to eventually become a chiropractor. Allowing the body to heal and perform at its most optimal level is what chiropractic care is based on. I truly love taking care of people and allowing them to express health at their fullest potential, as nature intended.

Greensboro, NC has always been home to me. I was born and raised here. I graduated Grimsley High School and studied Biochemistry at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. After graduating, I took a position at Duke University studying the effects of a suppressed immune system on lab mice. I began my chiropractic career at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC in 2014. While at school I became a member of the Academy of Chiropractic Excellence (ACE). Being an ACE intern allowed me to tutor and mentor fellow students on the proper techniques to care for patients. I graduated second in my class from Sherman College of Chiropractic. I am truly excited to be back in Greensboro. I love serving the community that helped mold me into the person I am today.

My passion in life is helping people reach their goals through chiropractic care first and foremost. I also love playing soccer, basketball, tennis, and golf. Spending time with family and friends is paramount to my well-being. Chiropractic care allows me and my family to keep going strong at 100% and I truly want that for you and your family.
